IN
THE "OLDEN DAYS"
Our Gordon Park site was originally called "Frog Hollow" or possibly "Log Hollow".
With its many red cedars and other trees suitable for cabinet timbers, it was the cradle of the early settlement of Nambucca
Heads. The adjacent sawmills provided much employment for the local
populace in the early days of settlement.

THE CLUB'S
ORIGINS
The first clay court was built between November 1939 and early 1940 with funds raised by keen tennis players and their helpers mainly through street stalls and sales of home cooked foods. That tradition of self help combined with a very supportive Council has continued over the ensuing years.
This has resulted in an excellent facility of 4 courts with synthetic grass
surfaces.
The
tennis courts have excellent drainage and are playable within half an hour or so of even heavy downfalls of rain.
